Trip overview
Pia Schmid designed the Alyssa Nile Cruise (Switzerland). Arch. Pia knows a lot about hotel construction and planning. She is known and respected throughout Europe for her numerous works and skills. For the M/Y Alyssa she chose an idea focused on the use of handmade objects, the natural environment surrounding the ship and the color scheme. In building the M/Y Alyssa, every effort was made to protect the environment. The designs, furniture and layout of the M/Y Alyssa’s cabins were not taken from a catalog. This includes making different 100% wool rugs for other parts of the ship so everything looks better. The M/Y Alyssa does not look like most Nile cruises because its plans, designs and furnishings were made exclusively for it. The M/Y Alyssa features a fully panoramic wellness center equipped with the latest and most advanced equipment, such as a mud bath, sauna, jacuzzi, gym with bicycle, rowing machine, treadmill and multi-purpose machine. This facility is located near the bow of the ship on the fourth deck. There is also an authorized helipad on board.
Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival in Luxor, and transfer to the cruise for accommodation procedures. In the morning, visit the Karnak temple complex, the largest religious site in ancient Egypt. Then, visit the Luxor Temple, connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Return to the cruise for dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast, explore the West Bank of Luxor with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, followed by the majestic mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and a stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board while the ship sails towards Edfu. Free afternoon to enjoy the cruise facilities. Dinner and overnight on board.

In the morning, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, an architectural and cultural gem. Then, sail towards Kom Ombo with lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, unique for its symmetrical design and dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise while sailing to Aswan.

Breakfast on board followed by a visit to the Aswan High Dam. Then, take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise in Aswan. Option: An excursion to the Nubian village can be booked.

Breakfast on board and disembarkation from the cruise. Optionally, an excursion to the Abu Simbel temples. Transfer to Aswan airport or train station and end of our service. Have a great trip on the Nile and enjoy Egypt!

No mandatory vaccines are required to enter Egypt, although occasionally a yellow fever certificate may be required if coming from an endemic country.
It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing, discreet long or short pants. For women, avoid deep necklines. In hotels and cruises, there is complete freedom.
In summer, cotton clothing; in winter, dress in layers (3), as the temperature varies from cold in the early morning to hot at noon.
The weather varies (desert, valleys, coasts). Summer runs from April to October and winter from November to March, with little rain except in the north.
